Chestnuts are the most delicious symbols of autumn. Roasted, boiled or in cakes, they always remind us of our childhood, the smells of grandma’s kitchen and our frozen fingers clasped around the roasted chestnuts bought from a street vendor.

Anthropologists claim that chestnuts were prehistoric man’s first food. With time, he learned how to use them to prepare the flour, soups and sauces, even beer and honey liqueur. Of course, the sweet treats, too.

The story we want to share today is a continuation of the autumn legends. We have contrived the scenography consisting of Karlovac’s multicolored treetops, the costume designers have devised the fall collection of strollers, and we need you – for the leading part of culinary spies – in order to taste all the sweet chestnut delicacies.
